Last post on this blog seemed to be the last one for this year, but there's time for another one. An important one.
As you might have noticed, this year DE_TOT_COR released a new album "Gothic Light" (CD + digital). There are about only 40 copies left now, and there will be no more, NEVER. Just get yours HERE if you want to support this music.
I would like to thank everyone who bought this album, and there will be a present for you in 2012 (not only words). We'll be releasing a new EP with new tracks, reworks and remixes. This new EP will be sent for FREE to those who bought/will buy the "Gothic Light" album (digital or CD, it doesn't matter). There is just one little problem: If you bought the album through DSBP or POPoNAUT, please send an email to detotcorgothiclight [at] gmail.com telling about this. The ones who bought/will buy directly through me, Discogs or Bandcamp, kein problem.

Musicians make albums and listeners listen to the music. DJs play tracks and journalists write news and opinions. "Gothic Light" is out for everyone who wants to listen to 16 dark-electronic songs. DE_TOT_COR is not spending money on marketing. Paying for stories, reviews, being on a magazine CD compilation, club plays... Everything costs money (a lot of money). Let's not focus on comercial media. There are a lot of people doing interesting things, and for free. I write a short list (but I'm sure there are many more): Promonetics.com, DJ Hive, The Miss Jinny Show, Electraumatisme, Cyberage Radio, Con!tro!lo, Dark Essence Radio, Ruhrschall.com, Noize Magazine, Dark Mother Media, Wnrn.org (Virginia radio, USA)... if anyone knows more, just add it on comments.
The picture attached is the cover of the next Noize Magazine, it will be out soon, featuring a DE_TOT_COR interview. They released a free-compilation a few months ago (get it here). Besides I would like to thank my friend End:theDJ for the interview I did for Vampire Freaks website.
It's been days of promotion work. Thanks to DSBP Records the album is distributed in USA and Canada, and now you also can get it from POPoNAUT webshop! This is not a comercial statement.

The new DE_TOT_COR album "Gothic Light" is officially released on the 1st of October. All of those who pre-ordered it should received the CD within the next few days. Thanks to everyone who has already bought it! Nearly 40% of the copies run out before the release date. Get yours soon HERE if you want one!
As you'll notice, I'll continue doing the distribution in Europe and DSBP Records will distribute "Gothic Light" thru the USA and Canada (they'll have the album in stock soon).

A new album is done

The physical copies of "Gothic Light" have arrived. The whole process has been a lot quicker than being in a label. Next week all pre-orders will be sent, and the album will be officially released on October the 1st. Now it's your turn to get a copy. Remember this is a limited edition. There will be no more physical copies when these run out (click here to get yours).
I just re-listened to the whole album again. It's different from "Dead Heart EP". It will be different from what I will do from now on. In "Gothic Light" you'll find industrial alternative music mixed with dark rock and trance. Drum'n'bass and techno remixes. A future-pop album? Just get yours and tag it yourself.
Thanks again to all of those who made this new album possible. Adding Marta who did the artwork (boom-mp.blogspot.com) and the replication factory for the quick work.

Cold flames burn and freedom rise

Finally the new DE_TOT_COR album "Gothic light" is finished and ready to be sent to mastering and artwork. Today I received the last remix of the tracklist. "Gothic light" will have 12 DE_TOT_COR tracks + 4 remixes. I'm more than happy I can have the four remixers I wanted, cause I love the music they make, and it's a total privilege to have their remixes on this album. First thanks go for them. Not less important are the collaborations of Kari Berg, Fredrik Croona, Jenny P., Sister_ and DJ Zynthexia on the vocals. Thanks, thanks and thanks! This is not an instrumental album at all!
It has not been an easy process. After leaving the Vendetta Music label, I decided to re-think the whole album, since the label didn't like some of the new songs. As an unsigned artist I have the freedom to include everything I want. And I won't write anything more about the music label, because this is not a sad post :-) I hope this is a new beginning for DE_TOT_COR and I'm sure you will all like the new tracks. Furthermore, X-Fusion Music Production will add the necessary elements to burn it all!
"Gothic light" will be released in October 2011 with a very limited edition (the digital release will follow by the end of 2011).

First of all I want to thank all of you who have donated money when downloading the "Mädchenliebe" free single. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! Remember you can still download the free songs (Russians: it was free!, was not necessary to upload it again...).
Anyway, this new post is to announce the new DE_TOT_COR album. It will be called "Gothic light" and it will be released before the end of this year. "Gothic light" is going to be a self-release, with a limited number of physical copies, and also available in digital format. It will include the collaborations of Kari Berg (ex-Ashbury Heights), Fredrik C. (Menschdefekt, Project Rotten), Sister_, DJ Zynthexia and Jenny P. (Luzid) on vocals; and END:theDJ, TrümmerFrau, Revolution State and Studio-X on the remixes. More information (tracklist, mastering, pre-orders...) will be published soon.
Finally I would like to thank everyone who helped on the composition of this new album. Remember you can prelisten some of the tracks in the Music section of this website (and there is one of the new tracks in 'Noize Control 1' compilation - free download).

"Mädchenliebe" released

DE_TOT_COR releases a free digital single "Mädchenliebe" [download]. It includes the original version of "Mädchenliebe" (mastered by x-m-p.de), the Hydrocyanic remix of this track, and a hidden track (a cover of a rock song). As you'll see, you can download for free or give a donation. I decided to include the opportunity of donating money for all of those who still love physical releases. All donations will go for the new DE_TOT_COR album release. It is going to be a self-released album, with a limited number of physical copies; but also available as digital release. DE_TOT_COR will be releasing "Mädchenliebe" as free digital single next June 30th.
This song has already been released in some compilations and I will probably rework the track for the new album (or it won't be included on it). Apart from "Mädchenliebe" the single will feature the Hydrocyanic remix of that track, and track #3 will be a cover (surprise).
The new album will wait some more time. As I wrote, I want to rework "Mädchenliebe" and finish the last track on it (#10). However, I just uploaded new versions of the songs in the "Music" section. Check them out.

Not on label

The DE_TOT_COR contract with Vendetta Music label is terminated. I am not going to post here all the reasons. It was my decision to leave the label. I am thankful for the chance to release "Dead Heart EP" with Vendetta and I wish the best success for all the label albums. It's time for DE_TOT_COR to move forward. Thanks to all of you who still remember this music project, and keep checking this website for more news on the new album.

English is not my language

December closes the year. It's been the year of the release of "Dead Heart" and it's been the year of the composing of the new album, the first DE_TOT_COR full-length. Now it is somehow finished, but still needs some (more) guest-vocals. These will be the last things to do. Well, there's the artwork and some other things, but this is no work for me. I'm still writing new music. This music drives me nowhere. Maybe in the end I'll find a new place to stop with new songs. There are different paths, different ways. Don't want to write three million albums, and have only one released. December is cold. A time to stay within four walls. Think. Retrospectively. The best moments always win. All these moments of music. On the worst things, Myspace which has become a bag of shit. There are a lot bands that started with Myspace. Now it's only nonesense-invitations to parties three million miles away from your home and ads and more ads. The best way to close a free-platform for artists. Facebook has now the monopoly. We seem to be nothing if we don't appear there (btw, I posted new music in the DE_TOT_COR FB). Apart from these stupid online conversations, there are nice people over the web. Thanks for writing articles, reviews and interviews. Still there are some people who look beyond their shadows. This post closes the DE_TOT_COR year. As always, there is a lot of music to be heard and to be done. Waste your time, search for the best music for you. There is a new year to be made. Enjoy.

The Product

And they finally arrived... I have the final product on my hands. The first EP. Some of the first songs I wrote are inside this optical disc. More than 50 minutes of music. Six own songs, five re-works. More than clubmusic, dark-electro, noise, glitch, EBM or whatever. This CDs mean much more, and I can't write it here. There is a thanks-list inside the digipak.

I have read some very nice comments about the "Dead Heart" EP. Some people outside Catalonia start to pronounce very well "DE_TOT_COR". I don't know how many of them have been sold. I'm not doing music for money. Thanks to all of you who have bought it. The more important thing for me is that you like it. There are more songs coming. This is only the beginning. Old, but sincere. The music I like. I hope you do too. I love these songs, I love to have them together on this CD. Play it. It's here to stay forever.

End of summer entered the current year. While in August seems to be dead in some-wheres and some-ones, it seems that september brings new energy. DE_TOT_COR started a new FB page with energy, and some fans made it grow. Thank YOU very much! I also started to work in some new tracks, which will be different because they'll include vocals. I don't want to write anything more right now. I can only say that I always liked to work in remixes because of the vox included in the kit, ready to use. DE_TOT_COR is an instrumental-song music project, however it's great to find different people collaborating. You can listen to the new tracks "World made of Lies" and "The Battle" in the FB page, which are done by guest-singers. Expect more!! I need to thank THEY somewhere for this and for answering some questions to complete the second DE_TOT_COR interview. So here it is. You can read it here. And now I'm at this, I need to thank Edwin from ISN Radio for always saying nice things about DE_TOT_COR. Remeber to listen to his weekly radio-show! Again and apart from that, I would like to think that all of you who bought the physical edition of "Dead Heart" EP will receive it soon. The Sagrada Familia still is under construction. And so is the new artwork for the upcoming DE_TOT_COR album. Under-construction and with new ideas. Soon I'll post them somewhere in the web. And, finally, the remix-kit of "Mädchenliebe" is no more available. I received no remixes, thus none will be published. I'm currently working on a new remix, and finished one for I:Scintilla. Interaction

One of the biggest points in this internet-thing is the interaction. I started this new page in bloggers-site because their tools can provide some kind of interaction. I will start to add here in this site elements in that direction. I don't mind how many people read this, I only want to give THE chance. We'll never be millions, but the best ones! Lately I also created a Face_Book page for DE_TOT_COR [this is the link until I learn how to shorten it :-)]. If you look under the FORUM box you'll find a first entry where you can write your opinions / feelings about the "DEAD HEART" EP. I think you have to be a FB user to do that... Of course, there is the music-player, the typical info and all that. My_space is starting to suck and going mad. Anyway, I'm still checking it. And I will be still checking some more apps to provide interaction in this official website. And yes, DE_TOT_COR is a music-project, so some music-update would be: there will be a new DE_TOT_COR remix in the new I:Scintilla album (hopefully) out this fall. I spent this last month working on it. I was a difficult song to remix, but I really enjoyed working with the melodies and the vocals. Let's see how this all ends. I won't be doing holidays, so in August I will start working on new tracks! Hope that the weather didn't damage your brain. These were the news from the hot-as-hell Barcelona.

Summer isn't as hot as last years in Barcelona, but it's here anyway. I just write these few lines to make you know this website is finished. Take a look around and leave your comments. The new DE_TOT_COR album is finished too. I hope I have some fresh news soon. I hope at least you all have the mp3s of "Dead Heart" EP that the label sent to all pre-orders. I read one nice review for it here. It's great that there are some great e-zines that still walk alone. I think all that German magazines and some other e-zines got good money to write some positive sentences. But there are nice people over the internet. Remember the first DE_TOT_COR interview at Ebm-industrial.nl? All DE_TOT_COR needs now is some promotion. Some DJs around the world do it too in their clubs and radio-stations. I would like to thank all of them. All kind of support is very needed. We'll never sell a million copies, but if you buy the album it's great support too! :-)
I did again some remixes (Mangadrive and R.I.P.) and I'm trying to do a cover these days of a industrial-metal well-known band just for fun. I don't want to write anything new until I know the plans for the new album. And above all, I've been watching soccer matches. Fuuck vuvuzelas!

There is a remix-kit for the "Mädchenliebe" song available for all of you that want to do your own version of this track. It contains the midi file, the vocal samples, a readme text file and a snippet of the track (full version in DE_TOT_COR_my_space). All styles of music are welcomed. There is no deadline for it at the moment, so just download it and have fun. Redo & Remix! Deadlines will be posted soon. The best 3 remixes will be released.

Hi all!! After the problems in the free-server that hosted the first DE_TOT_COR website (well, in fact, it was the second - as I got one geocities website), you are welcome to the NEW website. I hope that this lasts more than a year or so... Anyway, you see you have a navigation bar and... you know how this works. Welcome to the 21st Century.
There are links to the social networks where DE_TOT_COR has its space. There was also a Feisbuk, but don't remember the ID (and I hate it, so fuck Feisbuk). I'm only running MySpace and Twitter. VampireFreaks and LastFM are only checked ocasionally. If there are any other DE_TOT_COR profiles out there, let me know. I will be doing a YooToob channel, but I guess we need videos first. There are some songs there, uploaded by great fans!
And... that's all we need to start. Look at the right part of your screen and buy it :-)
